The most common (and preferred) document requirement for travel to Jamaica for visitors is a passport; there are however a few exceptions such as military passports or documents and a seaman’s certificate if traveling by sea.
Similarly, while many nationalities do not require a visa to visit Jamaica–- such as persons traveling from Canada, the U.K., U.S.A and Caricom countries – there are visa requirements for some countries and visitors should check online in advance of traveling.
The only exit requirement for Jamaica is a departure tax of USD$35 (approximately) which is generally included in the cost of your airline ticket.
For a full list of visa requirements and alternative documentation that can be used for entry to Jamaica, visit the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) at www.pica.gov.jm or email: info@pica.gov.jm
